Day 3 of eating clean

And its going super smooth this time. no cravings, really. heartburns' gone, puffy hands are still there... but receding.

i did bwo+, torso twist, and the critter crunch series this morning. Can't wait to get that DVD, i'm sure i'll be more effective than from memory.

New goals, spreadsheets for accountability, etc etc

So, i took yesterday entirely off from exercise, as recommended by Teresa. I did start the thyroid diet - which for me is going to be no starchy carbs, but lots of fiber.

Today I set up my spreadsheet for accountability:

I will record my workout, check if i've eaten clean (i'm loosely targeting 5 days on, 1 day off - kind of an extended GM/MM diet from T-tapp),. check if i've had my 90+oz of water, alfalfa, fibertox, b12, pg, and mag oil. And if i've brushed.

I have, gulp, 30-35 lbs to drop. And yes, i'm going by pounds as well as inches.

i'm going to shoot each week for 1 full workout, 1 short, 1 floor, and 1 SATI in the mornings - maybe a second full. We'll see. regardless, i'm going to hit PBS, TTT, Torso Twist, OIP/HF (and if i'm really industrius, Ladybug move and crabclaws) EVERY day. Teresa promised me that if i did TTT and Torso Twist every day, i'd get myself a waistline by cinching in my ribs.

i tried to walk ttapp style all day today, ohmy did my legs get tired fast.

the other part of my goal is additional walking at the gym 3-4 times a week. i do best w/more cardio than Ttapp offers when i'm trying to burn fat.

T-tapp retreat workout report!

i left Colorado springs on a 6am flight to Houston Thursday morning, dressed in my T-tapp t-shirt and fairly nervous because i was headed to a T-tapp retreat where i knew no one IRL. At Houston, i'd made arrangements to meet up with 2 other Tappers who were going to be on the same flight as I to Tampa. When I got to my gate, I recognized a 4th lady, Karen, who had been in the ttapp clinic in Houston I attended last May. Another tapper, wearing her shirt arrived, and we all boarded. Amy, Kim, and I had planned to sit together, and we had a great time getting to know each other. We deplaned in Tampa to find a 5th Tapper who'd been on the flight with us. She said "i'm going where ya'll are going". So cool - and the looks we kept getting since we were all matchy with the t-shirts were just funny. We met up with another lady at baggage claim in Tampa, and the 6 of us proceeded to get a shuttle van out to the spa

We checked in and upon arrival, I learned my roomate was already there. Cool. I got my bag o goodies (holy cow, 2 shirts, tons of samples, coupons for nearby restaurants, wow), put my luggage away, and several of us walked to Taste restaurant for our free lunch. I had a portabella sandwich and lentil soup. Yum.

Got back to the spa, met my roomate, a sweet woman from Ohio a few years older than me, and we went to the Hor D'eurves meet and greet. After munching on yummies, we all sat down and listened to Teresa's welcome, got introduced to the staff and trainers and then everyone who attended came and introduced themselves, and talked about why we came to ttapp, what we've gotten out of it, and what we wanted to get from the retreat. There were 106 people, so it ran a few hours. BUT, it was so cool to listen to everyone's stories - from Charlotte, who went froma size 22 to now a 4 to Ladies in their 70's adn 80';s who are moving again, to people who were told they'd never be able to walk but Ttapp got them walking, to diabetics who are managing their sugar, to people with HUGE inch loss. So amazing and inspiring. Then, we heard Gemma from We Rise (a grassroots, global peace organization that is so wonderful I cannot do it justice. It will be our holiday charity this year). She has the voice of an angel, and her work is so meaningful it had everyone in the room in tears.

Thurs night my roomie and i crashed around midnight, and the wakeup call Friday came at 5am. We did morning stretches with Teresa from 6-7am, then broke for breakfast, came back at 8 and did intense form break down on Total workout, through lunges. took a quick break, came back and did finger/foot fitness a Broke for lunch, which was catered by a sandwich joint, and I had chicken pesto sandwich (yum) with minestrone. Teresa talked about how to determine your ideal size. i took lots of notes. We took a quick break, then came back and did the new Critter Crunch series that will be coming out within the month - killer for abs/thighs and the female zone. Let me just say Teresa has lots of husbands thank her for their wives new flexibility.

Friday night was an amazing buffet - i loved the medallion of beef with sauteed plantains. somehow my table ended up having Teresa sit with us, which was a treat. She's so down to earth its amazing. The presentation was Dr Fitness and the Fat guy", a pair of comedian/trainers from the Atlanta area. I guess Teresa's been on their show several times. Gemma sang again after they spoke.

Danielle (my roomie) and I crashed early from sheer exhaustion. The 5am wakeup call still hurt. We warmed up with Teresa at 6am using the MORE routine. After breakfast, we went directly into Ttapp Step away the inches and Ttapp broom. Someone was wearing a pedometer, and in 45 minutes, we'd gone 3 miles. With all the extra upper body stuff we did, we were pretty well cooked, so she let us out early. I took myself to starbucks and put my feet up.

Lunch Saturday was catered for the 60 day challenge winners and we had soup/sandwiches again. Teresa talked to us about how to pose for our tada photos, which was really fun. Then we did Ladybug with a form break down and focus'd on mindful movement. We broke for dinner - my roomate and I went to a little restaurant, and were suprised when several long time tappers - Margie, Berei, Karen, and Lois joined us. Great company, amazing food. I'm in awe of how genuinely nice all the women were there.

Saturday evening ended with a coffee and dessert bar, and the speaker Dr Drew Karp ]spoke on vibrational therapy. I didn't really listen as I was more interested in the photo shoot - my pic was done around 10:30pm. the make up lady and photographer are Magic. Gina, the makeup lady was leaving this gig, and going to do Daryll Hanna on the set of her new movie. Bigtime. Wow.

Stayed up too late Saturday, and getting up Sunday hurt. We did the Fab 5 for morning workout - PBS, TTT, Balance, and TTN. Ouch. I was just about to the point of jello legs by this time. After a breakfast break, she took us into Total workout and i made it through most of it, but the crab claws at the end, i was just too fried for. I packed and checked out at noon (with my stuff in the bellmans closet), went to lunch with my roomie - sat by the pool for a bit, then caught my car back to the airport. Got home around 11pm MST last night - after being awake 20 hours

I loved it. i'm going to start setting aside money now to be able to go again next year. It was just amazing. it totally get now why it seems like there are so many "groupies" for Teresa. She's a geniunely nice and very generous woman, who is compassionate, well grounded in medical science and she operates her business with integrity.

The Challenge is DONE!!

And, while I know I've been lax at posting my workouts, let me assure you that I have missed exactly 1 scheduled ttapp workout in the last 60 days. And i'm FABULOUS with that.

Every day I've brushed, taken alfalfa and fibertox. Gotten 90+oz of water. When I work out, I've used PG. I've soaked in Mag oil a couple of times a week. And I've done the elliptical trainer a couple of times a week.

I'm so stinking proud of myself... but will restrain from posting my photos and inches lost until after the challenge winners are announced.

yes, I'm behind

I'm behind, but I've hit all my Ttapp workouts. My thyroid has shifted again, and in one week I gained, gulp, 9 pounds. not a good thing. I've done blood work, and am waiting for the doc to get that blood work and tell me what direction to shift my meds.

But I did hit all my scheduled workouts, took my alfalfa and fibertox, and PG spray, and did some MO foot soaks.
